Happy New Years Eve!

This is another email devotion I recieved from

Pastor Allen at www.godsminute.com,

You crown the year with Your goodness,
And Your paths drip with abundance.
They drop on the pastures of the wilderness,
And the little hills rejoice on every side.
            ( Psalms 65:11-12 *NKJV )

 Dear John,
As we come to the end of another year, let us pray that 2009
will be a year filled with love, hope, and peace.

Now when it comes to love; this commandment we
have from Him: that he who loves God must
love his brother also.   And above all things
have fervent love for one another, for “love
will cover a multitude of sins.”
 ( 1 John 4:21 )                   ( 1 Peter 4:8-9 )

As for hope; Now hope does not disappoint,
because the love of God has been poured
out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was
given to us. For whatever things were written
before were written for our learning, that
we through the patience and comfort of the
Scriptures might have hope.
( Romans 5:5 )                    ( Romans 15:4-5)

Regarding peace; Be anxious for nothing, but in every-
thing by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God; and the
peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus.                                 ( Philippians 4:6-7 )

Finally my friend; May the God of hope fill you with
all joy and peace in believing, that you may
abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
                                              ( Romans 15:13 )

Now John, may you have a safe and happy New Years
Eve, and let us all say a Prayer that 2009 will be a year of peace
 and joy.   Amen

J.R. on tract!

Merry Christmas!…. and remember…

I Recieved this email devotion from www.godsminute.com-

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and
bear a Son, and they shall call His name
Immanuel,”* which is translated, “God with
us.”           ( Matthew 1:23 NKJV )

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given;
and the government will be upon His shoulder.
and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
                                                         ( Isaiah 9:6 )

 Dear John,
As we prepare to celebrate Christ’s Birth, try not to get caught
up in the hustle bustle of the season, which is easy to do with
Santa Claus, Christmas Trees and Presents.  Always keep in
mind that Christmas really stands for the Birth of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ and His great gifts to us, including the
Forgiveness of our sins and Eternal Life as well.

Now it is my prayer that your Christmas be filled with love,
 hope and faith, and that;
the peace of God, which
surpasses all understanding, wii guard your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
                                    ( Philippians 4:7 )

Have a Very Merry Christmas, John, and may it be
happy and bright as well!.   Amen.

The Pastor and his son

A good reminder of God’s

 Love.

Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church, the Pastor and his eleven year old son would go out into their town and hand out Gospel Tracts. This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside, as well as pouring down rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, ‘OK, dad, I’m ready.’ His Pastor dad asked, ‘Ready for what?’,
IT,S TIME WE GATHER OUR TRACTS TOGETHER ” DAD AND GO OUT”

DAD RESPONDS, SON’ IT,S VERY COLD OUTSIDE AND IT,S POURING DOWN RAIN’

The boy gives his dad a surprised look, asking, ‘But Dad, aren’t people still going to
Hell, even though it’s raining?’ Dad answers, ‘Son, I am not going out in this weather.’ despondently, the boy ask’s, ‘Dad, can I go? Please?’ His father hesitated for a moment then said, ‘Son , you can go. Here are the tract s, be careful son.’‘Thanks Dad!’

And with that, he was off and out into the rain. his eleven year old boy walked the streets of the town going door to door and handing everybody he met in the street a Gospel Tract. After two hours of walking in the rain, he was soaking, bone- chilled wet and down to his VERY LAST TRACT. He stopped on a corner and looked for someone to hand a tract to, but the streets were totally deserted. Then he turned toward the first home he saw and started up the sidewalk to the front door and rang the door bell. He rang the bell, but nobody answered. He rang it again and again, but still no one answered.. He waited but still no answer. Finally, this eleven year old trooper turned to leave, but something stopped him. Again, he turned to the door and rang the bell and knocked loudly on the door with his fist. He waited, something holding him there on the front porch! He rang again and this time the door slowly opened. Standing in the doorway was a very sad-looking elderly lady.. She softly asked, ‘What can I do for you, son?’ With radiant eyes and a smile that lit up her world, this little boy said, ‘Ma’am, I’m sorry if I disturbed you, but I just want to tell you that *JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU* and I came to give you my very last Gospel Tract which will tell you all about JESUS and His great LOVE.’ With that, he handed her his last tract and turned to leave. She called to him as he departed. ‘Thank you, son! And God Bless You!’Well, the following Sunday morning in church Pastor Dad was in the pulpit. As the service began, he asked, ‘Does anybody have any testimony or want to say anything?’ Slowly, in the back row of the church, an elderly lady stood to her feet. As she began to speak, a look of glorious radiance came from her face, ‘No one in this church knows me. I’ve never been here before. You see, before last Sunday I was not a Christian. My husband passed on some time ago, leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday, being a particularly cold and rainy day, it was even more so in my heart that I came to the end of the line where I no longer had any hope or will to live. So I took a rope and a chair and ascended the stairway into the attic of my home. I fastened the rope securely to a rafter in the roof, then stood on the chair and fastened the other end of the rope around my neck. Standing on that chair, so lonely and brokenhearted I was about to leap off, when suddenly the loud ringing of my doorbell downstairs startled me. I thought, ‘I’ll wait a minute, and whoever it is will go away.’ I waited and waited, but the ringing doorbell seemed to get louder and more insistent, and then the person ringing also started knocking loudly. I thought to myself again, ‘Who on earth could this be? Nobody ever rings my bell or comes to see me.’ I loosened the rope from my neck and started for the front door, all the while the bell rang louder and louder.

When I opened the door and looked I could hardly believe my eyes, for there on my front porch was the most radiant and angelic little boy I had ever seen in my life. His SMILE, oh, I could never describe it to you! The words that came from his mouth caused my heart that had long been dead, TO LEAP TO LIFE as he exclaimed with a cherub-like voice, ‘  Ma’am, I just came to tell you that JESUS REALLY DOES LOVE YOU.’ Then he gave me this Gospel Tract that I now hold in my hand. As the little angel disappeared back out into the cold and rain, I closed my door and read slowly every word of this Gospel Tract. Then I went up to my attic to get my rope and chair. I wouldn’t be needing them any more. You see—I am now a Happy Child of the KING. Since the address of your church was on the back of this Gospel Tract, I have come here to personally say THANK YOU to God’s little angel who came just in the nick of time and by so doing, spared my soul from an eternity in hell.’ There was not a dry eye in the church. And as shouts of praise and honor to THE KING resounded off the very rafters of the building, Pastor Dad descended from the pulpit to the front pew where the little angel was seated. He took his son in his arms and sobbed uncontrollably. Probably no church has had a more glorious moment, and probably this universe has never seen a Papa that was more filled with love & honor for his son… Except for One. Our Father also allowed His Son to go out into a cold and dark world. He received His Son back with joy unspeakable, and as all of heaven shouted praises and honor to The King, the Father sat His beloved Son on a throne far above all principality and power and every name that is named. Blessed are your eyes for reading this message.

Don’t let this message die, read it again and pass it to others. Heaven is for His people!  Remember, God’s message CAN make the difference in the life of someone close to you. Please share this wonderful message… ‘Faith is the affirmation  and the act that bids

eternal truth be present fact.’  - Coleridge

The Lord is my Shepherd!

The Lord is my Shepherd —– that’s a
     Relationship!
     I shall not want —– that’s Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
     —-that’s Rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters
    —–that’s Refreshment!

He restoreth my soul —– that’s Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
     –that’s Guidance!
For His name sake —– that’s Purpose!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow
          of death–that’s Testing!
I will fear no evil —– that’s Protection!
For Thou art with me —– that’s Faithfulness!

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me
         —–that’s Discipline!
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of
           mine enemies——that’s Hope!
Thou annointest my head with oil —– that’s
          Consecration!
My cup runneth over —– that’s Abundance!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the
         days of my life—-that’s Blessing!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
          —–that’s Security!
         Forever —– that’s Eternity!

Psalm 8 says that the prayers of children have great power in spiritual warfare, saying that what comes out of their mouths will “silence the enemy and the avenger” (Ps. 8:2). Perhaps that is one of the reasons Jesus tells us that unless we “become as little children, [we] will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 18:3).

You are Loved!

Jesus said; He who has My commandments
and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.
And he who loves Me will be loved by My
Father, and I will love him and manifest
Myself to him.”
                ( John 14:21 *NKJV )

Dear Readers,
When we lovingly obey God’s Commandments, and study
His Word we begin to experience a more intimate knowledge
of our Heavenly Father.  It is through that knowledge that we
become closer to Him as well, for it is written that if you;
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
( James 4:8 )

Now isn’t is a pity that so many in this World today feel
unloved and alone, when all they have to do is reach out
to God?  For it is also written;
God is love. (1 John 4:8)
Why not pray for them tonight, and always tell God how
much you love Him when you pray.  For God has said;
I love those who love me, And those who seek
me diligently will find me.  ( Proverbs 8:17 )

So remember,  love the LORD your God with
all your heart, with all your soul, and with
all your mind.’  ( Matthew 22:37 )
And He will
love you and bless you, in return.
( Deuteronomy 7:13 )
He will also fill you with His
Great Love, a love that many in the World do not know.  Amen.
