An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard. that he had a home and was well taken care of. He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; slowly walked down the hall, Curled up in the corner and fell asleep. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour. This continued off and on for several weeks. Curious I pinned a note to his collar: “I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.” The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar: “He lives in a home with 6 children – 2 under the age of 3 – he’s trying to catch up on his sleep. May I come with him tomorrow?” |

This is from my email inbox sent to me, you may
subscribe to Pastor Allens email below:
The Lord bless you and keep you; the
Lord make his face shine upon you and
be gracious to you; the Lord turn his
face toward you and give you peace.
( Numbers 6:24-26 *NIV )
Dear John,
Often when we count our blessings we forget many of them.
So today I will share a few with you that we never think about.
Now the following was sent to me by one of our subscribers,
and it gives us some of the blessings to count!
If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won’t survive the week.
If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.
If you can attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.
If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare, especially in this World
today.
If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.
If you can hold someone’s hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God’s healing touch.
If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.
You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.
So John, let us; Give thanks to the Lord,
for He is good; His love endures forever.
Amen. ( Psalms 118:29 )

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh
( Psalm 2:4 *NKJV )
Dear John,
Now I know that I am using this verse totally
out of context, but our Heavenly Father truly has
a sense of humor! So sit back, relax and enjoy
the Bloopers actually found in Church Bulletins!
For; He will yet fill your mouth
with laughing., And your lips with
rejoicing. ( Job 8:21 )
The outreach committee has enlisted 25 visitors to
make calls on people who are not “afflicted” with
any church.
The Ladies Bible Study will be held Thursday
morning at 10. All ladies are invited to lunch in the
Fellowship Hall after the B.S. is done.
Evening massage - 6 p.m.
The Pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the
congregation would lend him their electric “girdles” for
the pancake breakfast next Sunday morning.
The audience is asked to remain seated until the end
of the recession.
Ushers will eat latecomers
For those of you who have children and don’t know it,
we have a nursery downstairs.
The Rev. Meriwether spoke briefly, much to the
delight of the audience.
Due to the Rector’s illness, Wednesday’s healing
services will be discontinued until further notice.
Next Sunday Mrs. Vinson will be soloist for the
morning service. The pastor will then speak on “It’s a
Terrible Experience.”
Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our
church and community.
Today’s Sermon: HOW MUCH CAN A MAN DRINK?
With hymns from a full choir.
Potluck supper: prayer and medication to follow.
Don’t let worry kill you off - let the church help.
The 2009 Spring Council Retreat will be “hell” May 10
and 11.
Pastor is on vacation. ”Massages” can be given to
church secretary.
8 new choir robes are currently needed due to the
addition of several new members and to the
deterioration of some older ones.
The pastor will preach his farewell message, after
which the choir will sing, “Break Forth Into Joy.”
The third verse of Blessed Assurance will be sung
without musical accomplishment.

A good Marriage must be created
In the Art of Marriage the little things are the big things……
It is never being to old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say , “I love you!” at least once each day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the Whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is in giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is finding room for things of the spirit.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is a not only marrying the right partner,
It is being the right partner.
Have a blessed day and if your married, A blessed marriage in the Lord!
It takes three! A man and wife, and the Lord at the center!
Pray! it Changes things! I should know, I am a miracle to even still be here myself!
Till Jesus comes,
God Bless you and your Family!

This message is dedicated to all Mother’s
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY, MOM!
For this is what the Lord says; As a
mother comforts her child, so will I
comfort you;
( Isaiah 66:13 *NIV )
Dear John,
We can not measure the tremendous love that God
has for His Children in human terms. However, I do
believe the closest thing on Earth to that great love,
is the love a Mother has for her child!
Therefore, on this day we honor that special lady
in our life, our Mother. So; May your father
and mother be glad; may she who gave you
birth rejoice! ( Proverbs 23:25 ) and may she
be filled with God’s Love, Hope, Faith, and Peace today
and everyday!
The following was sent to me by one of our Brother’s-
In-Christ, some time ago. I feel that it is appropriate to
share it with you today. It is called:
Why are you crying, Mom?
”Why are you crying?” he asked his Mom. ”Because I’m a
woman” she told him. ”I don’t understand,” he said. His
Mom just hugged him and said, “And you never will”……….
Later the little boy asked his father, “Why does mother
seem to cry for no reason? ”All women cry for no reason”
was all his dad could say……..
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering
why women cry…
Finally he put in a call to GOD; when GOD got on the phone
the man said, “GOD, why do women cry so easily?”
and GOD said…….
When I made woman, she had to be special. I made her
shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the World;
yet, gentle enough to give comfort….
I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the
rejection that many times comes from her children……
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when
everyone else gives up and take care of her family through
sickness and fatigue without complaining……
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and
all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very
badly…
This same sensitivity helps her to make a child’s boo-boo
feel better and shares in their teenagers anxieties and
fears…….
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults
and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart…..
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts
his wife, but, sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve
to stand beside him unfalteringly…..
I gave her tears to shed. They are hers to use whenever she
needs them. They are her secret strength. They make her
more like ME…..

A little boy wanted $100.00 very badly and prayed for weeks, but
nothing happened. So he decided to write God a letter requesting the
$100.00.
When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to “ God ,
USA ”, they decided to send it to the President. The president was so
amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $ 5
bill. The president thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a
little boy.
The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 bill and sat down to write
a thank-you
note to God, which read:
Dear God,Thank you very much for sending the money. However, I noticed
that for some reason you sent it through Washington D.C. and those
crooks took $95.00 in taxes!
Pray for our leaders and those around the world in charge. Hope this blog post finds you doing well tell others about this blog and you may read the latest on my personal blog www.johnlrasmussen.com. it should be updated soon.

by Dr. Harold Sala “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?” -Psalm 8:3-4 You don’t have to take a journey into outer space to be impressed with the vastness of the heavens. But you do have to get away from the lights of the city on a moonless night to look into the vastness of the heavens and marvel at God’s handiwork. It was the shepherd boy of Israel turned king who wrote the words of Psalm 8. Undoubtedly, David spent many a night on the rocky hills of Judea with his father’s sheep, pondering the vastness of creation. David probably did not know that the closest star is Alpha Centauri, and that that star is 26 trillion miles away. That is 26 with 12 zeros after it, and it takes 1 billion years for light to reach us from there. Compare that with light reaching us from the moon in one-and-a-half seconds. If you are tempted to feel that you just do not amount to much in the sight of God because of the vastness of the world and the greatness of population, then try to remember that there is a great deal of difference between space and value. We are overwhelmed by the vastness of creation, yet the vastness of empty space is not as significant as the importance of life. Think of it in these terms. A very wealthy couple live in a home filled with valuable paintings and art objects, yet they have no children. One day God blesses their home with a little baby boy their only child. The nursery is up on the third floor of the great mansion, and it is fixed up as nice as any nursery anywhere. Then one night, the smell of smoke fills the house and the father awakens to realize that his home is on fire. What is his first concern? The paintings hung on the wall, the lovely works of art, or the stocks and bonds hidden in the safe? No, not on your life. He would run for the baby boy in the nursery, because what money can buy is not as important as life human life. That child is his flesh and blood. Friend, that is why you were important enough for God to be willing to send His Son to speak to you of a Father’s greater love. In Psalm 8, David contrasts man and the Son of Man who came to planet Earth. The “Son of Man” was a prophetic term that spoke of a coming redeemer who identified with our humanity His name is Jesus Christ. Luke, writing in the New Testament, said, “The Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10, KJV).
